But... you may be right on the theory of our Defenseman getting beat on the back to the goal, and tripping and hooking alot. I miss Kukkonen.

After last year's playoffs... and most of this year's officiating, I'm starting to think that there really, truly is a huge, massive conspiracy by the NHL.

I would agree with that PhiPhan...especially after seeing how the officiating was in the Flyers two games in Southern California this season that I attended. I feel like sometimes refs get caught up in our franchise's reputation for playing physically and that somewhat affects the way they call games we play in.

At the same time, those BS calls probably only represent a small portion of the total penalties against the Flyers. You could argue over the cause of those penalties...maybe do our defensemen get beat too often and have to take hooking or interference calls? But all in all barring a major NHL conspiracy against the Flyers (not likely) we have only ourselves to blame.

I see what you're saying, and it makes some sense... but you also have to look at the fact, that the FLYERS do, on a regular basis, get called for bullshit penalties, and I know I sound like a bitchy little fan when I say this, but in reality, I honestly think that our team has a atronomical number of bullshit calls... more than most teams.
