It’s always fun to see some hard nose scrappy team like the Phillies get all dressed up for pictures.

All 23 returning members, with the exceptions being Pat the Bat and So Long So Taguchi, posed for pictures with the trophy. It provided a great opportunity for some good quotes.

Players warmed up to the tuxedos quickly, but with their red vests and red bow ties, some players and coaches joked that they looked a little like limousine drivers or waiters. Hitting coach Milt Thompson walked into the clubhouse and held up a sign that said, “Werth,” mimicking limo drivers at the airport.

This is the kind of shit that makes me love being a fan of this team. Stupid little moments like those show that this team still loves to have fun and mess around while being serious at the same time.

This picture though, just makes me laugh, plain and simple. (Photo via. Exposay.com)

He just looks awkward being there. It really doesn’t make sense, but the Flyin’ Hawaiian could pretty much do anything he wanted this offseason.

Spring Training opening game less than 48 hours away.
