Phillies vs. Braves, Round 2

So apparently Charlie Manuel has listened to all of the people in Philly proclaiming the season is lost and has issued his reaction.

From Zolecki:

Splitting up the lefties tonight: Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Werth, Ibanez, Feliz, Ruiz, Moyer.

F97E5E60-CC92-418D-AE98-B210DFA65D4E.jpgThe Opening Night lineup clearly wasn’t going to be able to compete with the three lefties all bunched up together, and the Philly media let Manuel know it.

Clearly, we Phillies fans just need to relax. It’s ridiculous to be looking into this than anything more than a different lineup. It’s only the second game of the season peeps.

If you want something to worry about, go with Jamie Moyer, but he’s the man and those Liberty Bell stirrups are going to bring him magic as usual.

As mad as I am that they don’t have a right-handed bat, I did some research awhile back—frankly only Jay Payton was available towards the end of ST. Yeah, I know they should of found one after signing Ibanez, but, they moved on locking up our core stars instead which I like.

that being said, we are going to have to wait to get someone capable of meeting our needs.

Werth, 25 HRS, and a good RISP (.300), in that 5 hole I could accept for the season. however, I am also assuming that rollins will return to form this season—hitting on top of .300
