He's selfish and thoughtless, but not an attention seeker. Easy to ignore off the field. The problem is that the man is definitely going to prison and *then* getting suspended. You should see the sorts of breathless speculation on some of the major sports sites: "will my team sign burress now?" "Go Bears! Now get Burress!" You think OJ has made people a little cynical about the justice dept, huh? It's not gonna happen. He's been caught red-handed and it's not worth taking a flyer on him staying in shape and being productive two years from now. I’d think he’d actually be fine. If the Phillies had gotten him, he would have drug down the team. He would not have meshed and would have grown unhappy about his lack of playing time.
