Eagles Season Schedule Released

Posted by Chris Shafer On April - 14 - 2009

Eagles Cowboys FootballIt has been a long while my friends, but the first signs of football are here once again in April. With the baseball season just getting underway, the NBA playoffs soon to come, and the Flyers opening the quest for the cup against the rival Penguins there hasn’t been much time to prepare for the Eagles. Draft info and speculation will be coming soon as well as a live chat. Don’t miss a second!

For now though we only get a small taste of what the birds will be up against this season. We got to the NFC championship for the 4th time in the new era of Eagles football only a few months ago (man does it seem like a long time has passed since then), but the Eagles are looking for more; they’re looking Super Bowl.

So here’s the schedule. Feel free to speculate as to what it will be like, but remember it’s going to be a long summer. Even though we’re watching the Flyers, Sixers, and Phillies just keep the hopes of Philadelphia Football somewhere in that crammed head. There’s so much going on in Philadelphia sports, and there’s a lot to be excited about. Consider this your first taste of what we all hope will become another great season of Eagles ball.

Good to see the Eagles get 4 national games. The Birds are consistently one of the more popular teams in the country and this schedule proves it.

I can’t stand how the Cowboys get 5 national games. I hate that team.

Even though baseball season has just started, this has gotten me excited. The NFL knows that it needs to do something to keep itself relevant during this time of the year and releasing the schedule during a prime time show was a great idea.

It has gotten many people talking about football at a very exciting time for all of the other sports.

With the exception of our early BYE (WTF?!?!) I really like the first six games on the schedule…then it gets much tougher, except for the Bears and Niners.

I am TOTALLY in Phillies and Flyers mode right now…but it is a nice reminder that football will make its return.

Here’s to making Romo collapse in the shower to close out another season in 2009!!!

They’ll start off 0-4, then Kolb will take over and they’ll finish 11-5, with his only loss being to the Broncos.
