Forgive me for a somewhat off-topic post, but I really couldn’t help myself when I saw ESPN.com’s NFL Truth or Rumors section last night.
“…the Jets avoided the position like a group of swine in Mexico.” Ooooh goooood oneeeee! It’s not like anyone has actually died from it…actually, scratch that.
Usually I leave it to South Park to push the envelope in regards to timely humor, but I guess ESPN is trying to pick up the slack a bit. In the WWL’s defense a majority of truth and rumor articles are taken from outside sources, but no one is actually credited with this little write up. Even so it’s called “copy editing” ESPN, you should try it sometime.
And I thought they only made light of 20-year old pitchers being killed through poorly written front page polls…
