I was going to wait on this one, but I just couldn’t keep it to myself.
In what could have easily been sent into Straight Cash Homey, I wanted to put it up here because of it being Phillies related.
I spotted this gem while walking back to the Broad Street Subway after a night game. As soon as I saw it, I pulled out my iPhone. My girlfriend knew what I was doing, she saw it too. It was hard to get a picture while trying to be stealthy and keep walking, but my awesome photography skills allowed me to get it.
It was also the first time that I had seen something like this. Ready for it?

Holy shit, someone actually spent money on that? A Sal Fasano batting practice jersey?
Now I loved Fasano when he was here, all half season of it. How could you not love this?
Fasano was eager to embrace his Phillies fan group, Sal’s Pals. He bought them tickets and pizza on a few occasions.

After filling in for the injured Mike Lieberthal, his lack of offensive ability opened the door for my favorite Phillie, Chris Coste, to emerge.
So, i would like to take this opportunity to thank Fasano for not being able to hit and allowing my boy Coste to stay on a major league roster.
Fasano is still kicking around in the Colorado Rockies organization.
