Friday was a day of Douches, and Some Saturday Linkage

Posted by David Foley On June - 13 - 2009

“Killer Kyle” Kendrick made his first appearance of the 2009 season and promptly killed the Phillies chances against the Sox yesterday.

2 innings of work, 4 hits, and 3 earned runs…looks like that extended minor league stint didn’t help Kyle the way Phils brass may have hoped. Can we send him back to AA now, please?

Of course no discussion of douches would be complete without a little criticism of Cindy Crybaby. ESPN.com’s front page this morning says Cindy became “a man” during this postseason, but I find that hard to believe given she wasn’t “man” enough to play hurt in Game 7. I’ve heard it really stings when you break a nail, but when your Stanley Cup dreams come down to one game I don’t care if you break a goddamn leg…you need to be out there.

Some other Saturday links for your viewing pleasure:

- Animated GIFs are typically awesome, especially when they involve yet ANOTHER epic Mets collapse. [LONG DRIVE]

- Greg Dobbs’ near-miss walkoff yesterday should have been reviewed. [SWING AND A LONG DRIVE]

- A celebrity roast for the ageless Jamie Moyer. [THE FIGHTINS]

- Some more Saturday links for your viewing pleasure. [INSIDE THE IGGLES]

- VCU’s Eric Maynor heads a list of players the Sixers are working out tomorrow morning. [PHILLY.COM]

- For those of you who missed the Yankees-Mets game last night, this is required viewing…

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.
