Sixers GM Ed Stefanski plans to talk to UFA Andre Miller and his agent on Wednesday. Clearly the Sixers have interest in bringing him back, but at the right price. The two sides will start some preliminary talks and go from there. Experts are saying Miller will be looking for a 3-year deal worth around $ 10 Million a season. The Sixers have the ability to sign him to more money then any other team in the NBA. However, the money spent must fit their plans for filling out the rest of the team.
Another scenario reported by ESPN’s Ric Bucher was a sign-and-trade involving the Portland Trailblazers. In return Portland would send PG Steve Blake, who played under new Head Coach Eddie Jordan in Washington. The deal would obviously be more complex then that but you get the gist.
So sometime Tomorrow we may know a little bit more about the Point Guard situation.
Andy Miller, Andre Miller’s agent did say that Andre’s first option is to stay in Philly.
