For those of you who missed Sportscenter today, this is mandatory viewing:
Adding insult to injury, SC then aired a Jimmy Rollins “My Wish” piece when the Phils infielder took a young Leukemia survivior under his wing for a day at the ballpark during Spring Training. Well played ESPN!
Some interesting tidbits from the historic 22-1 stomping of Cincy, and some fresh ROY HALLADAY speculation after the jump…
- Jayson Stark points out some “usless info” about the Phils incredible offensive display yesterday. Among the highlights:
“The Phillies have now done something the Eagles have never done: beat a team from Cincinnati by 21. Biggest margin of victory by the Eagles in a game against the Bengals: nine, in December 2000.”

Pleeeeeeeeease let this happen...
- Roy Halladay is rumored to be on the trade block, but what would it take to get him? David Murphy presents a few possible trade packages, some more intriguing than others. The price may be steep, but the thought of a Hamels, Halladay, Blanton, Happ rotation heading into the postseason should be enough to make every other team in the league shudder. Make it happen Ruben!
- On a significantly less exciting front, the Phils have taken a look at Pedro Martinez. If he came cheap and ready to fill a bullpen role I’m all for it, otherwise I fail to see how he improves our starting rotation.
