Wednesday’s Worst: My Angry Rant at Roger Goodell

Posted by David Foley On September - 16 - 2009

Really Roger. You fined six Eagles for an endzone celebration today and fined Winston Justice for a helmet-to-helmet hit, but you conveniently fail to impose any justice whatsoever on the asshole who decided to crack Donovan McNabb’s rib like a hockey stick after he was already down in the endzone with the game well in hand.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?

That’s it….that was worth $60,000 dollars to you Roger? I know the country is in a recession but the league really should find a better way to steal money from its players.

And while we’re on the topic of end zone celebrations: the crackdown on these needs to stop! Why? Because it’s hard to score a touchdown! I don’t see everyday folks like you or I doing it. I don’t see that pussy Roger Goodell doing it. The man scored six points for his team, SO LET HIM CELEBRATE GODDAMNIT!

If Goodell would take TWO SECONDS to stop sniffing his own farts and step off his throne as unreasonable dictator of the No Fun League, he might realize that the fans actually enjoy the celebrations! Shocking right?

Then you factor in the lack of any disciplinary action at all for Damione Lewis or any of his mediocre teammates who crushed McNabb when he was down in a vulnerable position, and you have yourself one heck of a heaping of “what the FU**?!?” Screw protecting one of  the league’s most marketable players, let’s punish these cretins who dare to show any emotion on the playing field and let the jackasses who purposely injure opposing players get away scott free. SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD IDEA TO ME!

Here’s what I want you to do Roger. Walk to your kitchen. See that pot in the cabinet over there? Pick it up, and smack yourself in the face with it as hard as you can. Then do it again, and again, till you resembles something like Paul Tagliabue. Now resign as Commissioner, and let someone who doesn’t go on massive power trips, who actually gives a damn about the fans and the safety of the players take over. This will probably never happen, but it really should. When a harmless endzone dance evokes a harsher response from the Commish than a dangerous hit, something has to change.
