I think there is far too much going on with Philly starters to be looking at bringing somebody in. Dont trust me on this but I belive Lee, Hamels, Blanton, Myers, Pedro, Happ, Park, Moyer, and maybe even Kendrick are in the mix for spring training unless somebody is dealt. No the philles dont have a solid 5th starter in there, but Id rather have 4 solids and a spot starter who throws good middle relief like Park did in the playoffs - maybe thats Pedro's job. Compared to most teams in baseball the Phillies have a stacked starting rotation. Their weakest points last year IMO was the hitting of Feliz and Ruiz during the season, and their bullpen in the playoffs. Feliz has been addressed, and a reliable 2nd catcher has been brought in to help Ruiz get more rest. Dangle Blanton or dangle Myers, and see whats out there in terms of bullpen help or another outfield bat. I am in no hurry to see Victorino or Werth leave - and I dont think they have to in order for us to get better. And having skills and the ability to mix up the lineup compensates for injuries, slumps, and bad pitching matchups. I dont always deal from strength, sometimes I deal from where its crowded.
